The FIATA Diploma course offered by IIFA in Ireland has been short listed in the Education category of theChartered Institute of Logistics and Transport of Ireland awards competition.

The course which lasts from October to June is offered by blended learning – a mix of distance learning and classes. Participants on the course attend evening tutorials once in every four weeks . This means that employees do not take time off work to do the course.

There are tests at each of the nine tutorials and a final 3 hour examination at the end of June.

Presently 17 participants are completing the course.

The course may be undertaken by persons employed in supply chain activities either as forwarders or in a manufacturing operations.

Our picture shows the successful class of 2008/09 at the formal ceremony in September attended by Minister of State Mr Dara Calleary. The course is supported by Chambers Ireland Skillnets.
